Ew, You Eat Tofu? I Would Never Eat That!
Many of my friends say, “Ew, you eat Tofu?” I say, “Absolutely!”
I will cook cheesy tofu as an appetizer for many meals! My family and I love it. At first, the kids would turn up their nose, but once they tasted it, they don’t anymore.
Tofu really doesn’t have much flavor on its own, so it takes on the essence of its marinade, sauce, or soup. It is naturally gluten-free with only a few calories per serving. There’s no cholesterol, but it’s an excellent calcium and iron source.
Plus, only 5 grams of carbs per serving, and it naturally protects against diabetes and cancer or so says Healthline.
I use it as an inexpensive filler for soups as well. Just, dice it up and put it in a few minutes before your soup is ready to serve.
