John Singson, Real Estate Entrepreneur

John Singson is the grandson of the Philippine governor, Luis Crisologo Singson, real estate developer, and the man who brought the Miss Universe contest to the Philippines for the first time.

John Singson is a successful real estate developer and entrepreneur. The founder of Singson Real Estate based in the legendary West Hollywood, California area. Singson has now shifted his focus into pursuing wealth in the same vein as his financial icon and mentor, Warren Buffett.

Estimates state that 99% of the world’s billionaires have some real estate investments in their portfolio, and Singson’s goal is to reach millionaire status. He’s well on his way.

John Singson’s favorite Buffett quote: “Price is what you pay. Value is what you get.”

John Singson comes from a long line of successful business people. His grandfather, Chavit Singson, has managed to build wealth in his native homeland of the Philippines, where individual prosperity is not commonplace.

Chavit (Luis Crisologo Singson) created his wealth through real estate, political victories, and other business ventures in the Philippines. He has been a personal friend and mentor of Manny Pacquiao since Manny was about 15.

You might also recognize Chris Cyborg (Cristiane Justino Venancio) in this picture with Manny and John. Chris Cyborg is a former UFC Featherweight Champion. John Singson brought the UFC champion to meet his childhood friend, Manny at his house in LA.

While John’s father, Richard expanded his uncle’s bus company, Partas Transportation in the Philippines from 11 busses to around 400. It has now grown to the point of being the “Greyhound of the Philippines.”

A third-generation businessman, John indeed recognizes the success of his father and grandfather but doesn’t want to base his accomplishments on theirs. John Singson is his own man.

John’s goals are lofty and indeed, admirable, but most of all, they are achievable. John Singson wants to amass wealth like that of his father, grandfather, and even that of his inspiration, Warren Buffet, who is worth around $83.4 billion.

To do this, John plans to build a real estate business empire that creates millionaires with thousands of people who are also willing to dream big as he does. His advice is simple: Singson says, “Whatever you do, do it to the absolute best of your ability, and the money just follows!”

For John, that is buying and improving properties around West Hollywood to rent them out. His work schedule would possibly be considered “obsessive” by some, but that doesn’t deter John. He wakes up and begins working, exercises, then gets back to work. Midday lunch with his family is generally sandwiched between John and his colleagues working on various projects and checking on potential properties from his house.

John Singson advises, “Never buy and renovate a property you wouldn’t want to live in if the real estate market stagnated. Every property should have the potential to be your family’s home.”

John doesn’t shy away from the fact that personal pride is a motivator for him. But, his motivation doesn’t merely come from a personal desire to be rich; he wants to put his family in a position where they will never want for anything. His methodology is simple: treat people the way you would want to get treated. John attributes his methodology to the way the successful businessmen before behaved: treat the people around you like family, and your family will succeed.

This is John’s grandfather Chavit Singson at home in the Philippines with one of his tigers, and of course, boxing icon and winner of eight belts, Manny Pacquiao. We’re not sure who of the three is the most fierce.
